Special Family Announcement...

Just before Thanksgiving, my son and our Ridulfo Cousin Gary DiFiore-Ridolph was diagnosed with Leukemia. He recently completed three rounds of chemotherapy at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, and a Bone Marrow Transplant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC on March 14th, and has been recuperating at the nearby Ronald McDonald House since being discharged on April 14th.

We have set up a blog site on Caring Bridge to disseminate the latest information on his progress. Click here to visit this site and keep up to date with Gary’s progress.

Thanks to all of you (the “G Force”) for your thoughts, prayers and support...

We are looking forward to Gary coming home for good in another week or two.

Ridulfo Photo of the Month...

Here’s a stunning picture of Ridulfo cousin, Barbara Merget Greenberg, who passed away this past January. The photo dates from the early 60’s, and was taken at the South Shore Country Day School she used to run.  Son Arik remarked she was stiff competion for Liz Taylor and Ava Gardner, and you have to agree!

Ridulfo’s Around the World on Facebook...

While Gary has been undergoing treatment, I’ve had a lot of down time, which I’ve used to reach out to new Ridulfo’s around the world on Facebook. I’ve made a few new contacts from several of the Ridulfo branches, including some from my own branch! Yes, finally, identified descendants of Mariano Ridulfo, the brother of our Salvatore. Family Tree information gathering is however proceeding very slowly... Stay tuned.
